School
Integration took place and I had good friends both black and white
on the Football Team

I didn't get my uniform right
away. It took about two weeks before someone dropped out.

My first several
snaps as center. I was center for three years after that.
We practiced first at the new J.C. Fairgrounds, next at the baseball
field - taken later by John Patty Chevrolet and then up behind SMMS
near Preacher Loy's house - Later owned by Larry Epperson.
