Cedar Flat Missionary Baptist Church's first building was built in 1902.  The land for the church and cemetery wasz given by VESTER TRENT and the first building was built by HENRY WESLEY (WES) WALLEN & SONS, (HARVEY), (TAYLOR) and (JIM).   It was a small boxed church and WESLEY WALLEN cut the logs for the lumber to build it.  The present church was built in 1924 with STAVOR YOUNG being the first pastor for the new church.  TROY WALLEN and IMOGENE DODSON were the first people to join the present church.  Other pastors have been: JOHN WINKLER, JOHN MULLINS, SAM JANEWAY, TOM LAMB, GEORGE W. VAUGHN, SILAS HOWERTON, EWING SPRADLING, TILMAN HOWERTON, BOB BROOKS, GRANT MULLINS, ALFRED GREENE, JOE WHITAKER, HERMAN DAVIDSON, VIRCH HIPSHIRE, WILL BROGAN, ELBERT SEALS AND JIMMY OGAN.  Most of the church records were burned in approx. 1955 and since then the following pastors have served: 1955-1960 - HENRY MARION; 1960-THEA DAVIS; 1961-JOE LAUGHNER; 1963-ROBERT SMITH; 1967-BOBBY AMOS; 1967-BOBBY AMOS; 1969-FAY MANNING; 1973-ROY SEALS; 1982-HENRY WALLEN; 1985-LESTER GREEN, Church clerks since 1955 have been: BOBBY MACK GREEN, LORENA GREEN, HELEN COLLINS and JAMES BAUMGARDNER.  This information written as it was told to WANDA W.
