In late 1890 Anna Dossett moved to Lone Mountain to teach school. Anna soon married R.A. Leabow. In 1892 R.A. and Anna Leabow provided the land and building materials for the present-day Lone Mountain United Methodist Church. R.A. Leabow's brother-in-law, John A. Casada, was the chief carpenter of the church. Anna Leabow organized the first Sunday School in the Lone Mountain community at Lone Mountain Methodist Church.
