I was contacted by Mick Boone who was concerned that my Daniel Boone page had not been updated in some time.  In all fairness I have spent way too much time on David Crockett lately and had not noticed that Daniel Boone had lost his guestbook.  I have updated with Bravenet and gotten all my quieries back.  And I am happy to report that the new DNA research by the Boone family has proven a lot of the early Boone research to be right.
Following is the emails from Mick Boone who is a trainer with Homeland Security's Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, South Carolina and myself.  Three is a link to the Boone DNA Project page.  You can visit my "revised" Boone page by clicking here.

Mick,
Sorry I haven't answered your email.  I was busy "fixing" my Boone page.  I had to reapply for my Boone Guestbook because of inactivity.
I am unaware if there has been any study further back than George Boone but if you like I can post your query to the page and if anyone is researching back further then that may help.
I noticed you were a trainer for Homeland Security.  My brother, who died in 2000 was also a trainer after his retirement with the U.S. State Department.  He coordinated a facility near Tucson, AZ for years after his retirement called Marana.  It was an old Korean era Air Force base and converted into a training facility in the mid 1980's through the early 1990's.  It was closed and he worked the remainder of his life for USAID.
Take a look at the page now.

I found this person yesterday.  She started a DNA study for the various Boone surnames.  This is her email: dellariola@cebridge.net .  You can check out the web page at: http://www.boone-dna.com/ .

Thanks,

Mick

Mick,
I haven't posted any updates to the Boone site in quite some time.  I wouldn't doubt there have been many changes.  Is there by chance a DNA study for the Boone family surname?  Take the Crockett family for instance.  Through DNA they have found that all the Crockett lines that migrated from Pennsylvania and Delaware were completely different halogroups than the Crocketts from Virginia and Maryland.  For years they were thought to have been one and the same family.
Would make for an interesting study.
I will post the update this evening.
Have a good evening.

I noticed that you have an extensive file starting with George Boone, sent by Tom Shawcross.  I have some conflicting information.  My liniage indicates the following:
George, I b. 1561 in England
George, II b. 1626 Denvonshire, England s. Sarah Uppey
George, III b. 1666 Denvonshire, England s. Mary Mauridge, died 7/27/1744 Berks County, NC
Squire, b. 11/25/1696 Denvonshire, England s. Sarah Morgan, died 1/2/1765 Rowan County , NC
Squire Jr. b. 11/5/1744 Philadelphia, PA s. Jane Van Cleve, died 1815 Harrison County, IN
I have some relatives that researched the above.  I would like to find out if I can go back further, previous to George, I in 1561.
Sincerely,
Mick Boone
