In 1958 there was a case that my brother was Federal witness in (Refer Back to Page Six)and after that he thought it prudent to move from Chicago -

He had a connection back in Washington through our Grandfather Joseph Phillip, George W. Cunningham. He was able to transfer back to D.C. and eventually to the U.S. Department of State in late 1959.

George Cunningham was deputy to Harry Anslinger, first Commissioner of the U.S. Treasury Department's Federal Bureau of Narcotics (FBN). You can read about the history of the FBN in Douglas Valentine's "The Strength of the Wolf - The Secret History of America's War on Drugs
