From the Law Offices of H.Y. Hughes.   Signed 100 years ago.  Given me by his daughter Katherine Hughes Dyer, who always called me Joey. Katherine Hughes Dyer was the wife of Marshall Dyer who was principle of Soldiers Memorial School during the entire eight years of my grammer school career.    His office was and is just down Main Street Tazewell from the Rome Cardwell Memorial Park that honors the Soldiers of Claiborne County. 

Once established I plan on dedicating these books and letter to the Claiborne County Genealogical and Historical Society's new Historical Library. Dedication with bronze plaques forthcoming.  Founding fathers of new library with Mayor's name and picture will be included. - Joe Payne - Secretary - CCGHS
