Some bad pictures
inside the Smithsonian. This was during my brothers meeting in
Washington at the State Department. I used his expensive camera and had
no idea how to set the lens for light exposure so all of my pictures
other than the ones outside turned out lousy.

A mail plane, I
think one of the first. Although I have visited the Aeronotics and
Space Museum many times, each time I go I discover something new.

Me at Dulles
Airport seeing my brother off to Tuscon. His next trip would be to
Niarobi, Kenya and Madagascar to visit the Embassies there. THE U-S EMBASSY IN NAIROBI WAS BUILT IN 1981, my brother was the RSO (Regional Security Officer there from 1976 till 1980. I remember the year he left because of two incidents, my mother's leg amputation and the Iranian Hostage Situation. The Embassy then was a leased building far outside of town. The Niarobi Embassy was bombed in August 1998, my brother was upset following his vist to Kenya that they had decided to move the old Embassy to a downtown location and voiced that to me on several occasions before the 1998 bombing. Most of his contacts were in Madagascar.
