Dear Joe,
My ggggrandfather was Jesse
Poore, born in N.C. in 1770. Eventually he
settled in Sullivan Co., TN. and went to Claiborne in the
1830's. He was
the first Poore in the
county. I am currently finishing a
family book on
the Poores in Claiborne County. I have a good deal of
information on the
family. Do you know who Thurman Poore's father was? Many
Drummonds married
Poores. Let me know if I can help. Have you looked at the
Claiborne County
Genealogy web site?
